A comprehensive first session to understand what brings you in, what is happening now, and what you want therapy to accomplish.

Fees, insurance & billing
Individual counseling is available through a variety of major insurance networks, with private-pay appointments also offered. Couples counseling is available through private pay for new clients, with transparent rates and a collaborative focus on meaningful change. For insured appointments, eligibility and estimated out-of-pocket costs are reviewed before your first session.
How insurance billing works
Insurance can be confusing, so the goal here is to keep the process simple. The billing platform verifies benefits, handles claims, and provides an estimated session cost based on the information available for your plan.
Enter your insurance information so your mental health benefits can be checked and an estimated cost can be shown.
After the appointment, the billing platform charges the expected amount to the payment method on file.
If the final responsibility differs, the balance may be adjusted after the insurer processes the claim.
Private-pay rates
If you prefer not to use insurance, your plan is not one I am currently in network with, or you want a predictable private-pay option, these are the standard rates.

This is the session length I use most often for ongoing therapy and when we need enough time to do meaningful clinical work without rushing.
A 45-minute session can make sense when that better fits your goals, schedule, or budget.
The practical details
My current policy is a $75 fee for cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice and for no-shows. Cancellation fees are not covered by insurance.
Depending on the billing platform and plan, you may be able to pay with HSA, FSA, or HRA funds, as well as common payment methods. Available options are confirmed during scheduling.
Invoices and superbills may be available through the billing platform for your records or potential reimbursement, depending on your coverage and how your session is billed.
Your insurance benefits determine deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. An estimated session cost is shown before the appointment when the billing platform has that information.
